Passive Fire Estimator / Lead Estimator

I’m looking for a Passive Fire Estimator / Lead Estimator to join a well-established specialist contractor. This role is ideal for someone with at least 3 years of estimating experience and 5+ years in passive fire protection, looking to take the lead on tenders for fire-stopping, fire doors, intumescent coatings, and compartmentation.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Preparing detailed cost estimates for passive fire protection projects.
✅ Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to assess project requirements.
✅ Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
✅ Preparing and submitting tenders and bids, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
✅ Collaborating with project managers to ensure smooth project delivery.
✅ Conducting risk assessments and cost analysis to improve efficiency and profitability.

Requirements:

✔ Minimum 3 years of estimating experience, ideally within passive fire protection.
✔ 5+ years in passive fire, with expertise in fire-stopping, fire doors, and intumescent coatings.
✔ Strong knowledge of building regulations, fire safety codes, and material costs.
✔ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tender documentation.
✔ Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
✔ Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with suppliers and clients.
